Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be Tech IV certified for at least two years.
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must have a valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record.
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
Supervise, interview, select, train, promote, schedule, motivate, evaluate, coach, and discipline Maintenance Technician IV's.
Coordinate day-to-day work activities of maintenance operations employees to ensure the delivery of high quality and timely service of phone, video and data services to customers.
Assume direct responsibility for technical aspects of system operations and maintenance.
Organize and supervise several preventive maintenance programs to insure compliance with FCC and corporate standards.
Maintain forward and reverse plant for both to support phone, analog and digital video and high-speed data services in accordance with company specifications.
Monitor the number, frequency, and duration of outages. Analyze reports to insure that all outages declared are repaired within the proper time frame.
Monitor outage fix codes and locations to determine if a pattern exists.
Evaluates the condition and performance of the plant and recommends appropriate action to the engineering and operations departments.
Manage daily workload of team such that work is accomplished in the most efficient manner.
Conduct performance reviews with each employee in a timely manner.
Provides leadership, guidance and training to all maintenance staff. Perform quality control inspections on completed work. Communicate and enforce all company policies and procedures.
Supervises performance of established system maintenance programs to include, but not limited to, annual FCC tests, FCC compliance, CLI, and nonresponding DHCTs.
Ensures that employees properly have and maintain their assigned vehicles, tools, test equipment, and uniforms necessary to complete their assignments.
Ensure that all hours worked by their team members are properly accounted for in KRONOS.
Prepares schedules and recommends and implements scheduling options as required by business demands.
Ensure that all customer concerns, damage, and accidents are addressed in a timely manner.
Ensure that the workplace is in compliance with all safety requirements and all employees are properly trained in the safe performance of their jobs with particular emphasis of OSHA rules and regulations.
Ensure that signal leakage requirements are met.
Ensure that all system regulatory and system performance standards are met.
Accurately complete and submit required reports.
Train and develop personnel for personal growth and career development.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to work in an outside environment. Endure exposure to inclement weather, insects, reptiles, and animals. Endure exposure to confined spaces in attics and crawl spaces.
