Job Description:Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain the B&W mPower QAPD.
  • Develop, deploy and maintain Quality Program
Procedures that implement the QAPD related to
Nuclear Fuel design and Manufacturing.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain the B&W mPower Fuels
Related QA Program Plan.
  • Coordinate NQA-1 1994 QA Program Standard
implementation with primary suppliers.
  • Support the Corrective Action Program.
  • Support Document/Record Control.
  • Interface with Fuel Engineering and Fuel
Manufacturing department.
  • Facilitate a periodic Management Assessment
(self-assessment) process.
  • Participate as an Auditor or Lead Auditor when
assigned, either for Internal of Supplier Audits /
Surveillances.

Job Requirements:Knowledge and Experience:
  • Minimum 20 years in commercial nuclear QA.
  • Expert knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21.
  • Expert knowledge of NQA-1 quality standards, in
particular NQA-1 1994
  • Expert knowledge of US NRC Regulations regarding
Commercial Nuclear Fuel design, testing,
manufacturing, and shipment.
  • Served as Lead Auditor on multiple internal and
supplier audits.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability to
multiple communication styles.
  • Advanced procedure writing skills.
  • Knowledgeable in ASME Codes and Standards and
related standards pertaining to manufacturing,
assembly and construction of nuclear plants and
components.
  • Additional experience in Light Water Reactor
disciplines in one or more of operations,
engineering, procurement, quality assurance, quality
control.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical report writing
and presentations using MS Office Applications
including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project.
  • Demonstrated proficiency at the user level in
computer network applications (email, file server
data access, wireless handheld devices, file sharing
applications).

Education and Training:
  • BS Degree or higher in engineering, science,
technology, or; substitute a combination of other
college education and technical certifications
demonstrating advanced training in nuclear plant
operations, engineering, procurement, or
construction.
  • Lead Auditor training course certification.
  • Advanced procedure writing training, especially in
the area of human factored procedures (desired, not
required).
