A growing company of over 7,000 domestic employees is looking for a Payroll Supervisor to oversee the US and Canada payrolls. The company is seeking a high-energy, hands-on individual desiring a challenging position with diverse responsibilities.

The Payroll Supervisor position is a hands-on position responsible for the overall coordination and support of payroll, including stock option transactions. The individual will execute tasks such as:

Responsible for timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly Multi-State payroll

Reconcile accounting entries associated with payroll activity
*
Answering questions and addressing any issues from company employees
*
Interface with HR staff and management regarding payroll questions and employee requirements
*
Complete reports and other requirements associated with year-end or other reporting needs
*
Sets department goals in conjunction with Senior Manager, Payroll establishes priorities and monitors work priorities of staff as assigned
*
In depth knowledge of processing multi-jurisdictional taxes, garnishment/levies interpretations and set-up with detailed knowledge of minimum wage requirements
*
Self-directed, organized and able to meet strict deadlines. Strong detail orientation with a high degree of accuracy in work
*
Supervise payroll staff with effective leadership, training, coaching, feedback and support to department
*
Works with human resources and other departments to ensure payroll processing is accurate
*
Experience with a high volume complex payroll is a plus *LI

Job Requirements
Qualifications

*
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working energetic individual with 3-5 years of payroll and accounting/audit experience. Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a finance/accounting emphasis. Candidates with a CPP certification and/or experience with stock option exercise transactions is a plus.
*
The candidate should be a high-energy individual who is able to set priorities and work to tight deadlines and has excellent attention to detail.
*
The individual should also have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to handle high level of confidentiality regarding employee information.
*
The individual should process financials control background related to payroll. Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley Act is an added benefit.
*
Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word). Experience with ADP Payforce, other ADP payroll platforms and SAP is a plus
*
Self-directed, organized and able to meet strict deadlines. Strong detail orientation with a high degree of accuracy in work.
*
Previous experience with acquisitions a plus
*
CPP preferred but not required
*
Experience with expats preferred but not required.
*
Previous experience with acquisitions a plus.
