Is responsible for the overall performance and supervision of Project Leads in the Learning Solutions Department's Delivery Team. This includes training, evaluating, and assigning leads as necessary. They will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure that education efforts are successful. They help ensure that Project Leads utilize the appropriate management techniques and maintain best practices in education and follow the appropriate adult learning principles when developing educational initiatives. They will identify and assign the appropriate Project Lead to incoming projects and serve as a liaison between Project Leads and leadership. QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 and up to 30 lbs.
  • Requires a minimum of an AS, BS or MS preferred or equivalent work experience in education or related field.
  • 3 or more years experience in clinical Applications training.
  • Professional level communication skills are required due to interaction with project managers and executive level management.
  • Superior analytical capabilities and business knowledge to understand how the clinical and business methods of a specific department relate to the project goals and Strategic Plans.
  • Expertise in determining client needs and the ability to develop innovative tactics to meet those needs.
  • Excellent leadership skills needed as the position includes daily contact with assigned team personnel at all levels for project coordination, resource assignment and problem resolution.
  • Excellent communication (orally and written) and customer service skills needed due to the extensive and sensitive personnel contacts.
  • Contacts may involve controversial or confidential matters, which require skill in gaining appropriate decisions and agreements.
  • Requires ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Requires the ability to apply IU Health personnel policies and procedures.
  • Requires the ability to educate, influence behavior and service in a mentoring role.
  • Requires knowledge of adult education principles; curriculum design, evaluation techniques, and instructional methodology.
  • Requires strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • May require travel dependent on project needs.
  • Requires strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
  • Requires knowledge and use of the improvement process in redesigning curriculum.
  • Requires ability to work independently.
  • Requires ability to read and comprehend written instructions and procedures.
  • Requires ability to communicate clearly and concisely through written and verbal communications.
  • Requires ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member.
  • Requires strong customer service skills.
  • May be required to travel.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal; communication; and organizational skills.
  • Requires the ability to assess and diagnose learner needs and utilize appropriate teaching methods to facilitate learning.
  • Requires ability to make independent judgments and recommendations regarding educational needs.
  • Thorough working knowledge of personal computer and various word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software applications.
  • Required to proactively work with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hrs. a day.
