The Center for Liver Disease is seeking Supervisor Research Lab who will be responsible coordinating sponsor initiated Clinical Trials for pre marketing FDA approval: Consents (occasionally), draws (occasionally), processes and tests samples with high complex analytical tests and equipment (experimental and FDA approved). These high complexity tests are performed without direct supervision: (i.e. Real Time RT PCR, Vitros Immunometic Systems, Siemens ADVIA Centaur, Hepatitis Genotyping, Drug Resistance and other tests and instruments per research protocol). Participates in PI initiated Studies in Clinical or Basic Research. Interacts with Monitors/Auditors (Sponsor, CRA, UM Compliance Office and FDA) during site visits and follow up on problem identified by the monitors/auditors. Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for clinical laboratories. Interacts with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (ACHA). Prepare submission of documents to CLIA and ACHA. Updates Procedure and QC Manual. Participate in research conferences. Remain up to date with scientific literature. The individual will contribute to the writing of research papers, manuscripts for publication, slides presentations, abstracts and poster preparation, articles and book chapters.

Qualified candidate must possess a High School degree or equivalent, and at least five years of experience in a clinical laboratory. A Bachelor's Degree or a graduate from and accredited MT program is preferred. Valid State of Florida Medical Technologist license is required. Must complete Collaborative IRB Training Initiative (CITI) Program in the Protection of Human Research Subjects within two weeks of hire. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, certifications and/or work experience will be considered. Excellent skills in English (both verbal and written) and Computer skills required.
