Under direct supervision of Eligibility Assistance Manager supervises the daily operations of the Eligibility Assistance Services unit to ensure that all customers are serviced promptly and that the information is complete and accurate.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to motivate employees.
Ability to utilize basic Excel skills to perform various duties.
Fluent in Spanish strongly preferred
Knowledge of group leadership.
Knowledge of insurance benefits and authorization protocols.
Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to Federal, State and County assistance programs.
Must be able to adapt and react calmly under stressful conditions.
Must be able to relate cooperatively and constructively with clients and co-workers.
Requires the ability to follow complex written or verbal instructions to solve complex problems such as preparing documentation to submit to governmental assistance agencies and providing appropriate status on active cases
Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Minimum Job Requirements: High School education. Two (2) years experience as a Supervisor, Coordinator or Senior Eligibility Specialist with a hospital.
