Responsible for the supervision of personnel (housekeeper) and housekeeping procedures in assigned area, for maintaining and preparing cleaning and safety standards, cleaning activity records.
Reports under the direct supervision of the Section Manager and or Director of Environmental Services of the same department. Supervisor carry out assigned duties 7 hours a day, 5 days a week or as needed.
Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures, equipment, staffing, and operations as normally acquired through 6-8 weeks orientation. Incumbents are subject to overtime as required by the hospital
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Education :
The ability to perform mathematical calculations, measurements, and ratios, skill in planning, organizing, directing and control personnel activities as normally acquired through completion of high school or equivalent. High School diploma or GED preferred.
Experience Minimum Required :
Knowledge of scheduling, work assignments, development and communication of procedures as required through 2-3 years of housekeeping or supervisory experience.
