Job Summary: The Light Activated Materials (LAM) department
produces a Class II FDA regulated medical device utilized by Dental
Professionals. This position is fully responsible for
supervising the Light Activated Materials department. This
supervisor is accountable for establishing and maintaining
efficient operations that ensure the timely completion of all
manufacturing orders as well as meeting all production &
fabrication goals and service standards.

Essential Duties:
Manages the hourly associates, processes and equipment while
ensuring criteria for efficiency, quality, and output are met. To
ensure associate success, this position will provide effective and
updated training to the skills necessary. Equipment will be
serviced through the Dentsply Prosthetics Preventive Maintenance
system, with this position approving work completed. Processes are
reviewed and approved with the aid of Technical and Engineering

Communicates frequently and collaborates with the departments;
Human Resources, Technical Development, Technical Support,
Engineering, Materials. Ensures direct reports are communicated to
in an effective and efficient manner.

Develops implements and supervises strategic plans and
operating budgets to ensure that business objectives for
profitability, cost, product quality, regulatory compliance,
employee development and customer service are fully achieved.

Ensures that department activities are coordinated with
Procurement, Production Control/Scheduling, Maintenance, Quality
Assurance, Sales and Marketing to meet forecast, production and
quality requirements and to efficiently utilize talent, machinery
and equipment. Establishes and maintains Standard Operating
Procedures and completes Operations Sheets in compliance with ISO
9001, FDA GMP, and EN46001 guidelines and regulations and all
departmental audits.

Implements all safety and quality regulations in assigned
areas. Ensures that training, routine drills, periodic safety
and quality audits are completed in accord with company and
government requirements. Trains and coaches to ensure
understanding and continuous compliance with Safe Manufacturing

Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree

2-3 years manufacturing experience.

Excellent mathematical, statistical and analytical skills

Develop partnerships with key functional departments such as
Human Resources, Materials, Engineering, and Technical

Problem solving/decision making skills: ability to
effectively resolve problems and investigate customer complaint
issues collaboratively and diplomatically.

Self starter with a proven record of initiative

Ability to work with deadline pressure and achieve tight
production timelines

Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Good
Manufacturing Practices and Safe Operating Practices

Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

Knowledge of basic HR laws and Safety regulations
