Our IT division consists of a state-of-the-art data center located in Greenville, NC. The data center services all information technology needs of Vidant Health facilities.

Summary
The Information Services Supervisor positions primary responsibility is to manage the day-today activities of their assigned work group, assist their Manager in Strategic Planning and organization activities, and support the goals of the organization as the first level of management.
Typical tasks will include, but are not limited to: conducting employee evaluations, developing work schedules, meeting with customers at all levels within and outside Vidant Health to better understand their needs and work within their teams to find solutions, developing or overseeing the development of project plans, assigning work tasks and project ownership, providing guidance to employee's and input to their management team.

Responsibilities
Assist and work under the direction of Information Services Managers to define, develop, coordinate, implement and achieve the strategic goals of Information Services and Vidant Health as a whole.
Participate in strategic planning discussions and act on decisions made to deliver the desired product within the targeted timeframe and cost. Assist in the development and tracking of budgets and resource allocations, providing input as needed.
Lead staff through developing project plans, cost models, return on investment analysis, etc. and leverage available Program Management tools to manage projects and tasks. Serve as representative of Information Services in various forums. Ensure policies and training procedures are developed and maintained for their respective area of responsibility. Ensure that employees complete the training they need to be productive and participate in appropriate development activities. Manage employee scheduling to ensure adequate coverage. This includes on-call, vacation time, sick leave and any other absence. Complete all probationary and annual performance evaluations.
Perform and oversee the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of IT applications and hardware.
Perform and oversee the introduction and maintenance of applications and hardware, including reviewing and providing input for contract documents
Prior to any Live Event, ensure proper testing and validation is completed, along with creation of procedures, troubleshooting documentation, and Disaster Recovery plans. _____________________________________________________________________________________
Minimum Requirements
Associate College Degree: (major) Information Technology, Business, Nursing, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related; 4 year degree preferred.
Additional years of applicable experience, beyond the minimum requirement of five years may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis. Additional years of applicable formal education beyond the minimum requirement of two years may be substituted for the required years of experience on a year for year basis.
5 years or more experience. Experience should be in progressively more responsible positions. Experience supervising and/or overseeing IT personnel is preferred
Experience in Cache, SQL, and/or Oracle; Experience supervising and/or overseeing IT personnel is preferred
