This position is responsible for planning and supervising the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of stationary equipment and overall production operations. This includes directing, coordinating and supporting refrigeration and maintenance personnel, working with contractors, vendors or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment, and troubleshooting and resolving new and/or different technical problems regarding equipment. Other responsibilities include maintaining relevant records, ensuring OSHA standards and programs are being implemented, instructing in the use of personal protective equipment and HAZMAT operations. Other duties include coordinating Team Member schedules, handling clock reports and attendance records, holding monthly safety meeting and HAZMAT Team Training, and performing other duties as the need arises.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Minimum High school diploma or equivalent; prefer post-high school education to include special training, certification programs, vocational school, military training, and/or college courses. preferred.
Experience: 5 years minimum experience within industrial maintenance; Boiler/Refrigeration field or technical related background. Maintenance Supervisory experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Must be competent in Windows based software; will be expected to correspond via e-mails, enter data into document templates or creating simple queries. Will be responsible to become fluid with SAP-PM and ensure proper documentation of work, work load, scheduling, and development of proper PM instructions for all technicians in group.
Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
Supervisory Skills: Responsible for manageing a group of hourly team members who will perform the necessary work to maintain the engine room, boilers and refrigeration system, including building maintenance and PSM Coordinator.
Travel: 1 to 5 trips

Position-Specific Requirements
This position will be responsible for maintaining high pressure boilers, air compressors, hot water systems, ammonia refrigeration equipment, assets, Process Safety Management, Hazmat compliance. This position will be responsible for eliminating downtime, unsafe conditions, with responsibility for refrigeration maintenance budget. As the PSM Coordinator you will report to the Senior Maintenance Manager and dotted line to the Regional PSM Manager (Corporate). As PSM Coordinator you will also be responsible for the 14 Points of PSM including execution of MOC’s, PSSR’s, PHA’s as well as insuring the equipment is maintained in PSM responsible condition, to include equipment PM’s and normal operations. USDA issues and Food Safety concerns will be assigned as needed by the Senior Maintenance Manager or designee. Responsible for daily supervision and management of the Engineers; actively participate in, and insure compliance with stringent plant safety policies and procedures as well as food safety programs. Will be expected to maintain high levels of labor efficiency and effectiveness. Will be responsible for maintaining and managing the refrigeration systems, in regards to the understanding of the importance of condition and temperature as it applies to quality, yields, ergonomics, work compensation and plant profitability. Prioritize and schedule Engineers work with the assistance of the maintenance planner; responsible for verification that all equipment licenses have been renewed on an annual basis and that operating certificates are current. Responsible for verification that all Engineers’ licenses have been renewed on an annual basis and that operators training certificates are current. Will actively participate in Plant maintenance activities, HACCP/USDA related issues; will ensure that repairs are completed within food safety guidelines.

Required Special Skills: Able to install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems; Must be highly organized with time management and archiving of information; general mechanical abilities, ammonia refrigeration systems and equipment, electrical 230-480 V/3ph 110V control voltage, hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler operations, water treatment, general plumbing knowledge are essential; fabrication skills a plus; welding, using an oxy-acetylene cutting torch, a plus; general knowledge of the CMMS is helpful.
