Evans Resource Solutions is currently looking to fill position for an automotive supplier operating multiple locations in Southeast Michigan. This is a temporary job and we are looking to fill opening with individual looking for short-term work.

Essential Job functions:
  • Ensure daily job assignments have been passed out to employees and that they were correctly designated
  • En sure all provisions and requirements of OSHA are complied with and that every reasonable precaution has been taken in the workplace
  • Investigate, report and implement appropriate corrective actions for any unsafe conditions or situations identified
  • Ensure that 5S and Kaizen housekeeping practices as well as preventitive maintenance schedules are adhered to
  • 1st shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring communication with 2nd and 3rd shift supervisors is established and maintained to ensure production runs effectively
  • Complete shift leader's report daily
  • Ensure all employees are following all rules and codes of conduct established in employee handbook
  • Ensure employees involved in any safety incidents receive appropriate and immediate care required. Complete all reports related to safety incidents
  • Ensure all new employees have received appropriate training
  • Provide leadership and direction to all production employees
  • Complete performance appraisals for hourly employees
  • When necessary implement corrective actions as established to ensure optimum quality, safety and efficiency
  • Ensure proper and timely completion of all daily, weekly, and monthly reports

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required, college education preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Familiarity with TS 16949, ISO 14001, 5S and Kaizen policies, OSHA requirements and Significant Environmental aspects including Waste Management
  • Must have strong technical background and general understanding of the function and operation of fabricating equipment
  • Blueprint reading knowledge is necessary
  • Must be team oriented, have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact and manage employees
  • High level of organization skills
  • Computer skills and knowledge of software including Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), Lotus Notes & Vantage
  • Must have and maintain a valid Michigan Driver's license
