Assists the management team in the daily operations of the store. Daily duties will include some management functions, opening/closing store, overseeing production/retail operations, ensure themselves/staff follows all policies and procedures.

Essential Functions Statements:
Provides customer service by greeting and assisting customers/donors; ensures customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods.
Reports customer inquiries and complaints to management.
Enforces safety, loss prevention, and all policies and procedures.
Able to operate POS system, process donations, stock shelves and housekeeping duties as needed or directed. Must be familiar with all operational aspects of running a Goodwill store.
Provides guidance and direction to store staff.
Is an example to staff regarding behavior, attitude and work ethic.
Responsible for inventory stock; re-order when inventory drops to specified levels.
Performs work activities of subordinates.
Ensures pricing and quality standards for profitability.
Responsible for maintaining store in an orderly fashion with merchandise appropriately displayed.
Documents and reports any concerns or issues in a prompt and timely manner to management.
Able to open and close the store, fill out the necessary reports for the day and ensure that all staff are assigned to the correct work area for proper coverage as well as assign break periods.
Reports to management any maintenance needed.
Assists in training all non-management staff.
Performs administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Abides by all Goodwill’s policies and procedures; Responsible for reviewing GISD policies and procedures on the GISD web site to continuously be informed with current, new or changes in policies and procedures.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience: One year related experience.
Computer Skills: Basic Computer Skills, Email, Internet Use, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Certificates & Licenses: None
Other Requirements: Ability to operate electronic cash register. Must be able to understand the basic principles of running a retail store: Stocking, merchandise flow, quotas, cash handling, bank deposit procedures and sales reports. Ability to work with simple arithmetic (addition, subtraction, fractions, percentages, etc.). Ability to calculate figures and amounts related to cash handling (for example, change discounts, etc.). Ability to read and understand sales reports.
