The Tiffany & Co Real Estate Services team has an exciting Supervisor - Building Operations position available in our New York Flagship store. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing the trade team which provides electrical, engineering and carpentry support to the store.
Responsibilities
The Supervisor - Building Operations is responsible for the day-to-day activities, coordination/scheduling and supervision of a team of Engineers, Electricians, and Carpenters. Supervises the timely completion of all work order assignments through the Archibus software system and customer requests. Oversees the maintenance and inspections of all life safety systems, Maintain MSDS log books for all trades. Maintains all the required logs that document all check lists and building systems. Coordinates the training and orientation of all trade members via regularly scheduled meetings. Work closely with OH&S to maintain a safe environment and required documentation. Responds to customer requests and implement proper corrective plan of action. Provide concept design to support the planning, engineering and construction of all Facilities Projects. Ensure that the design drawings and technical specifications meet operator safety and Tiffany's standards. Works with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for projects and contracts. Works with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for projects and contracts. Interface with customers and other team members to address technical issues related to projects. Acts as Fire Safety Director/Fire Brigade.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will possess the following qualifications.
Required Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:
High school graduate with technical/vocational training in related fields
Ten years experience in the related fields with 3 to 5 years in supervision, job planning, scheduling, interpreting prints.
Require thorough understanding of base building systems.
Organizational and Time Management skills.
Computer experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Projects.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprint (CAD) drawings for Architectural and M.E.P. design review and installations.
Must be able to effectively communicate (both written and orally) with employees of all levels.
Must be a self-motivated and customer service oriented.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and work well under pressure in a fast paced rapidly changing environment.
Must be able to troubleshoot problems.
The ability to use electronic testing equipment, hand and power tools.
Must be flexible with regards to work schedule.
Must work from Sunday through Thursday as normal work schedule and have flexibility to work additional hours to support the business, special events and projects which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
Individual is required to respond to building emergencies. 24/7.
Valid driver license.
Preferred Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and maintenance manuals.
Knowledge of Building Management Systems.
Leadership skills to motivate and develop a team atmosphere.
Use various types of lifts: Skyjack lift, material-handling equipment such as forklift and hand pallet truck.
Black seal license
Universal license for the recovery and recycling of refrigerant.
