The Scalable Data-centric Computing group in the Computational
Sciences Center is seeking a Researcher with experience in high
performance networking (especially with low level hardware and system
software) to work on issues of performance and resilience for current
and next generation data-intensive computing platforms. Explorations
into whole-stack optimization approaches to achieving high performance
and system reliability for both I/O in technical computing
and analytics/data-intensive use cases will be carried out and
extensive interactions with the hardware and system software teams
within the Deep Computing Systems area will be required.
A Master's degree in a relevant area of engineering or computer
science is required along with familiarity with high performance
Familiarity with IBM's Blue Gene/Q system, including system software and
control system, is preferred.
Master's Degree in Information Technology
At least 1 year experience in Systems Architecture
At least 1 year experience in Systems Software
At least 1 year experience in Blue Gene Networking
English : Fluent
