The Supplier Development Engineer will facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and problem resolution of quality issues / opportunities with Suppliers and monitor supplier (`9s performance against contractual obligations, scorecards and key performance indicators utilizing the Supplier Gold Process. Will approve suppliers recommended by Procurement / Supply Chain Team.

The candidate (`9s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Mutually work with supplier and internal functional associates on finding root cause and mistake proof solutions for quality cases and delivery misses.

Perform lean assessments and build lean processes in the supplier (`9s facility processes to ensure for quality, cost, and delivery continuous improvements.

Implement kaizen events that links Sullair manufacturing initiatives to the supply chain.

Develop the business technical knowledge and experience to understand the root cause of supplier issues and the impact to the business.

Measure and monitor on-going supplier performance and improvements providing accurate feedback to both the supplier and the organization.

Bachelor (`9s degree in Business Administration/Operations Management or Engineering/Engineering Technology.

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional presentation skills.

Ability to think critically; to recognize/anticipate a problem; and to identify and implement solutions in a timely manner.

Must be able to complete assigned tasks in time frame required and focus on results.

Self-starter, sound business judgment, forward thinking and team player.

Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Demonstrate competency in decision-making, flexibility, planning and organizing, self-initiative and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical skills.

Ability to understand and interact with diverse groups.

Must be able to work independently and self-directed
