Assist Operations and Engineering with identification and selection of vendors capable of meeting DSM BU requirements, incorporating prior manufacturing experience or engineering skills.
•Perform Supplier evaluations and assist in vendor qualifications in relation to the BU needs.
•Support supplier performance reviews and undertake actions to resolve issues. Drive supplier performance to required levels (quality, service, delivery).
•Acts as Quality liaison for supply chain to disposition all NCRs related to suppliers
•Drives a culture of continuous improvement within the supply base. May interface with other BUs to develop and leverage coordination of vendors, and assist with establishment of vendor qualification requirements within the corporate division.
•Work closely with operations and other departments for effective integration of quality goals and overall business goals.
•Ensure completed analysis and trending of supplier’s quality defects, reoccurring problems and leads corrective/preventive action, and audits.
•Executes continuous improvement activities and works closely with suppliers’ resources to achieve improvements.
•Compile monthly Supply Chain KPI matrix. Lead internal vendor review with all interested parties in the BU. Ensure improvement activities are completed on a timely basis
•Review and communicate supplier requests for engineering changes or new products. Communicate discrepancies to suppliers, and ensure timely resolution.
•Develop procedures in support of the DSM BU QMS.
•Daily communication with both vendors and Customers may be required, strong communication skills are needed.
Must have a degree in Engineering , Supply Chain Management, or LogisiticsExcellent written/verbal skillsProficiency with Excel. Experience with Oracle and/or Windchill a plus.Quality Engineering experience or working knowledge of cGMP or ISO 9001 quality systems-Should have Supplier experience, and supplier relationships-Should have 2 years of Process Improvement experienceCQA or CBA highly desired.Position may require up to 15% travel depending on department needs.
