The primary responsibility is to collect, evaluate, and prepare research and/or other complex statistical data for reporting against functional KPI’s across the Supply Chain. Participates in the analysis and interpretation of data for making business decisions. Additionally, the Business Analyst prepares statistical and narrative reports and recommendations based on the supporting data gathered. Develops, maintains, and ensures quality control of databases and may assist in development and implementation of measurement systems.
This position has responsibility for creation of Material Master records for the site (acting as “local MDM agent”) and oversight of the pertinent Material Master data for the Finance and Quality Assurance functions (via Workflow). Any changes to the ERP system, whether a new process and/or a fix to the existing system are key responsibilities of this position to manage and test to ensure a successful outcome.
This position must identify and collaborate with the appropriate personnel to ensure compatible data standards are created globally. Standards include but are not limited to, bills of materials, routings, etc.
In this capacity this individual will also be a back-up for several of the Supply Chain functions such as Planning and Scheduling, Distribution and Warehousing.
The process often involves the use of statistical techniques, in collecting, interpreting, problem-solving, decision-making, providing general statistical advice in the form of economic and resource forecasting, sample design, survey methodology, policy efficiency and quality evaluation.
This individual is the central control point for gathering and reporting metrics for the Supply Chain Organization on a regularly scheduled and ad hoc basis.
This individual plays a key role in Project Management, taking a lead role for Supply Chain initiatives. These projects could be moderate to complex in nature, requiring coordination across business functions.
Finally, this person is the key conduit between the Supply Chain Organization, the user and IT to adapt, configure and build functionality as needed to the ever-changing business requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs and/or develops specific databases for collection, tracking, and reporting of data, as appropriate to the organization, with the appropriate input and ownership from the business end users.
Creates all Material Master Records for use at the site. Provide oversight for the creation of Finance and QA Material data (via SAP/ERP workflow system)
Develops robust data collection instruments/reports, and develops and utilizes these instruments and methods for the evaluation and quality control of operational data
Collects, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports.
Maintains computerized collection and tracking of relevant data. Ensures that data is properly and consistently maintained.
Utilizes specified statistical software to analyze and interpret research data, as appropriate to the individual position.
Maintains appropriate records of methods and results.
May participate in or initiate proposal writing to cost justify a particular issue or position.
May provide a variety of professional, fiscal, administrative, and/or clerical services to department.
May lead, guide, and train staff, employees, to ensure KPI’s are utilized as drivers for continuous improvement across the enterprise.
Develops plans and leads cross-functional projects that impact the supply chain area.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in
Business Management or technical field; Master’s Degree
CPIM or CSCP preferred.
Detail oriented with a focus on fact finding and fact based decision-making.
Use of problem solving and analytical techniques such as SWOT, Root Cause and Fishbone required.
Must be able to be self-directed and able to lead teams to solve complex issues, while providing recommendations to the next level management in a clear and concise fashion.
Understand demand and forecasting processes.
Ability to independently gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
Knowledge of statistical methodology, principles and procedures.
Ability to prepare reports and proposals.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Records maintenance skills, as well as process orientated and well organized.
Ability to utilize statistical computer software.
Ability to design and implement systems necessary to collect, maintains, and analyzes data.
Skill in the use of personal computers and related business software applications.
Can build consensus and alignment across functions.
Proficiency with Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint required. SAP experience required (or another ERP system).
Data base knowledge required.
Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
Traditional office environment, with frequent walking to other areas of the facility, including production areas, loading docks, and warehouse.
Must wear safety glasses and other protective items as required.
