Position Summary

: Supply Chain Coordinator The Company is committed to develop a strategic approach to the Company’s supply chain activities, and specifically, in their approach to global procurement. Key Responsibilities :
  • Execute, strategic and disciplined global procurement commodity management policies and procedures
  • Must be able to work responsibly with minimal supervision on assigned commodities, reporting and tasks
  • Support the effective cross-Divisional commodity spend of 50 million to 100 million dollars
  • Contribute to the strategic initiatives that significantly reduce costs and improve quality
  • Facilitate and coordinate all aspects of Supply Management activities between Division units and their Suppliers including the successful negotiations of Quality issues
  • Support and offer valuable input in Cost Reduction and Compliance initiatives for assigned commodities
  • Monitor and report all pertinent metrics affecting Supply Chain Performance as required
  • Support the development, maintenance and improvement of the Global Procurement Database
  • Support the development, maintenance and improvement of the Global Procurement Database
  • Support Commodity Managers with the following duties:
  • a) Request for Proposals
  • b) Request for Information
  • c) Projects as required
  • d) Raw Material reporting
  • e) Procedure and Policy writing
  • f) Non Conformance resolution/tracking
  • Report generation and tracking tools for the following Supplier information :
  • a) Forward pricing report
  • b) Cost Drivers report
  • c) Approvals updates
  • d) Monthly Procurement database updates as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration with procurement specialization or other related degree plan
  • Special Certification or Training above formal education: Purchasing Management Association of Canada certification would be considered and asset or APICS
  • 2-3 Year of related experience
  • Procurement knowledge; theories, processes, best practices; knowledge (practical experience) implementing risk management strategies (ie commodity mapping, spend analysis, strategic sourcing principles, hedging)
  • Possess negotiating skills; excellent written & oral communications
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven contract management skills a plus
  • Advanced analytical skill and techniques in the application of HSE requirements
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, motivate others a plus
  • Proven ability to coordinate/manage multiple assignments simultaneously
