The Supply Chain Design Analyst is accountable for enhancing GE’s supply chain by creating end-to-end supply chain visibility. This role offers a fantastic career growth opportunity as you will work closely with manufacturing, sourcing, engineering and suppliers to analyze/improve supply chain cost, agility, and flexibility for GE Power & Water products. You will utilize your in-depth technical expertise to solve complex supply chain problems.
In addition, in this role you will:
Use data visualization tools and build visibility dashboards
Build supply chain models using network modeling software to analyze, optimize and simulate the network output
Assist in building connectivity to various data sources in support of network modeling needs
Work closely with internal customers to define modeling objectives, scope, requirements, program timing, and effectively communicate them to customers
Review and validate data, build and validate models, run scenarios, and present results to stake holders
Document the modeling approach, data sources, constraints, and any other requirements for each program
Assist in other supply chain visibility related data visualization or network modeling programs as required
Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operation Management, or related field with a minimum of 1 year of Supply Chain design experience

Will consider Graduate or under Graduate college students with relevant background and experience
Experience or knowledge of supply chain planning and design
Database management experience
Experience with multi-constraint optimization and simulation software such as LLamasfot Supply Chain Guru
Network optimization and simulation experience
Experience with various Analytics and BI tools
Demonstrated project management and process improvement skills
Knowledge of basic computer programs operation
Strong background in mathematics, statistics, and algorithmic processing
Ability to work in a high pace, result oriented, cross functional and global team environment;
Self-starter and ability to promote and work in teams.
Ability to execute multiple programs simultaneously and meet deadlines
Previous internship or work with GE in supply chain modeling
Ability to work, motivate and influence in a cross-functional, multi-site and global team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skill
Skills in solving complicated statistical (Six Sigma) and analytical situations.
Experience in six-sigma, lean and value stream mapping
