Supply Chain Planner position offers an opportunity for growth in the area of Demand Chain in a large aerospace manufacturing plant and sales unit located in Falconer, NY. Aerospace is a demanding environment the services the origional equipment manufacturers, aftermarket and sole source US government markets. The position will report to the Falconer Supply Chain Team Leader.
The Channel Supply Chain Planner reports to the Factory Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for forecasting, planning, procurement, master scheduling, and inventory activities for the assigned Channels. Job functions include, but are not limited to: purchase order/release launch, purchase order management, expediting, channel demand forecasts, volume sales forecasting, daily production master scheduling, discipline and integrity of the master scheduling process, maximizing utilization of capacity, staffing, and inventory, promise/ repromise orders utilizing the XA system and tools to most effectively support customer needs, maintain linkage between master schedule and components, stock planning, manufacturing stock planning, monitor inventory levels and implement alterations, order handling, delivery planning, delivery time fixing, customer deliveries, managing broken promises, customer service. Responsibilities also include material substitution. On occasion, may have involvement with our customers.
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or a Manufacturing related field is required, along with 2-4 years experience of scheduling and/or materials related experience. Candidates with equivalent education and/or experience may be considered. Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong PC skills. Must be self- motivated and be able to work in a team-based environment.
