Material Handlers will support the Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System (JLENS) Program’s Test and Integration effort. Material Handlers will use cranes and/or forklifts to pack, ship, and unpack materials for the movement of prime items from one integration and/or test location to another. This position will require the material handler to work in a desert environment and travel extensively within the U.S. The material handler will oversee and assist with the movement of system equipment and system setup at the test site(s) to include assembly, disassembly, and transport. The material handler will interface with the integration and test team and support personnel in the conduct of JLENS Government led tests which includes: logistics demonstration; transportability/mobility and rail impact testing; climatic tests; and lightning tests with requirements to support planning, collection, reduction, analysis, and reporting of test data.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with and ability to oversee personnel working with heavy equipment
Experience with and ability to work with fielded systems with regards to manned shelter set-ups, erecting antenna masts, cable layout
Ability to obtain Government certification to operate ground support equipment to include forklifts, man-lifts and skid-steer type of vehicles
Ability to obtain Government certification to operate cranes
Excellent communication skills
Security Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance
Mandatory physical requirements:
Ability to climb platforms and perform work aloft
Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
Ability to work in varying weather extremes
Desired Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Possess a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Willingness to travel on short notice
High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience.
