The Inventory Management & Merchandise Planning Organization has been undergoing a significant process redesign effort. The intention of this activity has been to create a fundamentally new organization built around value added processes that are focused on synchronizing the entire North American Delivery Supply Chain to a common set of planning numbers that can be executed against. The Supply Planning Organization will leverage advanced analytics, tools and relationships to create efficient and effective Vendor and Supply Chain Plans, and Inventory Replenishment.
As a member of this team, the Supply Chain Supplier Planner, via analysis, integration of data, and communication with IM&MP and suppliers/vendors, is accountable for Vendor Purchase Plans, Receipt Plans to support Transportations’ Inbound Planning, and monitoring Vendor “Turn.”
Responsible for the vendor inventory, purchase and receipt planning at the vendor and FC level in support of Facilities supplies iniatives.
Integrate Demand Planning Forecasts, Customer Commitment Levels, Inventory On-Hand positions and parameters (E3) into Ladder Plans, Promotions (Non-Ladder) and Seasonal Plans at the FC/Department/Vendor levels.
Create SKU-FC level inventory and purchase plans for Non-E3 planned items (ladder planned items) based on forecasts provided by demand planners and/or the FS sales force
Create SKU-FC level holdout quantity and timing recommendations for promotional and seasonal holdouts based on forecasts provided by demand planners and and/or the FS sales force and enter into E3
Calculate Target Inventory Levels to ensure the optimal level of inventory is available between vendor order cycles factoring in safety stock.
Establish a strong weekly rhythm with FS Sales, Demand Planners, Inventory Analysts and the Merchant organization to drive continuous improvement from a Demand and Supply perspective. Strong focus on value
added analytics that will impact Department/FC Vendor Inventory Levels & FC Days of supply.
Work with Vendors, Customers and FS Sales to Collaborate on Purchase Forecasts; communicate results throughout the supply chain and to Finance for Vendor Rebate trackin.
Communicate Receipt Plans to Transportation, in order to enable Inbound Planning and Pre-Paid/Collect decision making.
Bachelor's Degree in related area
Minimum, 3 – 5 years Related Experience
Strong Business acumen with experience in Supply Planning/Inventory Planning/Forecasting & Replenishment especially in B2B environment
Strong, clear communication skills. Be able to simplify the most complicated issues or problems.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Must be very organized, have solid time management skills, and be able to balance many competing priorities.
Ability to build and foster business relationships, especially with Merchandising, Inventory and our Suppliers; exhibit strong influencing skills.
Ability to apply sound decision making skills to resolve high profile issues.
Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills including Microsoft Excel.
