We’re seeking an experienced Supply Chain Transportation Manager to join the team in our SoHo office. This position will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and continuously improving the finished goods transportation network of the company in order to meet the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers. This position will also have primary oversight of the timely order processing and fulfillment for the international segment of our business.
Coordinate and manage the transportation of finished goods from overseas manufacturers to domestic warehouses and/or customers (ex-factory to receiving via Air/LCL/FCL/Inland). Analyze freight costs and classifications, delivery methods, customer commitments (internal and external), and schedules to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction. Schedule and manage ocean carrier vendors and inland transportation partners; Negotiate best rates and analyze performance to standards. Manage direct import programs for key customers (FOB ex-factory). Monitor international order intake, allocation, and fulfillment from factory and/or overseas 3PL warehousing/distribution partner(s) to international distributors, appointed freight forwarders, and the like. Coordinate with Production Team to ensure timely and accurate ex-factory to ETD processing. Document and maintain transportation procedures to maximize delivery efficiency; Make recommendations to improve transportation time and/or reduce costs. Assist manager in maintaining and administrating the ERP system; Assist internal customers in new report creation and development
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field. 3-5 years’ experience importing consumer goods from China to the U.S. including scheduling, must have direct management of ocean carriers , and inland trucking. Experience using ERP or WMS system(s) as part of daily activity. General operations or supply chain experience managing order intake, processing, and fulfillment.
MAS 200 or other similar ERP system experience (as administrator or super-user). Experience managing remote third party distribution service providers In exchange for your hard work
