Supervises the planning and coordination of all warehouse activities. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls inventory levels, stock replenishment, order filling, and delivery scheduling to achieve cost containment and customer services goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Assists in the development of goals and objectives for the distribution center. Participates in the development of Supply Logistics policies/procedures relating to stock replenishment for all hospital affiliates and system hospitals.
Supervises the activities and job performance of the distribution center personnel. Assists in the screening and hiring of personnel. Helps develop employee’s personal and career goals and growth opportunities.
Ensures a continuous flow of supplies and medication is maintained from the distribution center to customers.
Assists in developing and maintaining accurate inventory control procedures to ensure inventory variance remains within accepted limits.
Assists in performing durable medical equipment (DME) duties if necessary.
Maintains own professional growth and development through continuing education opportunities e.g. workshops, seminars and classes.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

- Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.

MMin MMinimum Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Transportation and Logistics, or related field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required. At least two year’s experience working in a distribution center environment is preferred. Supervisory experience is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and human resource skills are required. Knowledge of MMIS is required. Data entry and document management is desired. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English.
Frequent interaction with internal customers in person and over the phone, on a daily basis. Must possess average manual dexterity and fine motor skills to use computer and other office machines Must be able to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds with frequent lifting, pushing, and carrying objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. Normal color vision. Physical presence onsite is essential. Hearing and vision must be normal or corrected to within normal range. Able to perform the duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
