Position: Supply Technician
Location: MCLC Distribution Management Center (DMC), Storage Operations Department (SOD), Barstow, CA
? Provide on-site logistics support to maintain established production schedule during the DMC core working hours Monday through Friday
? Perform Inventory Management functions
? Determine stock levels required for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs and projected depletions
? Prepare requisitions items to replenish stocks, obtain substitutes, and acquire new products
? Plan, organize, schedule and conduct material inventories
? Conduct causative research on all inventory discrepancies and stock denials and process approved LBI's and GBI's
? Conduct unscheduled inventories on line items with inventory discrepancies
? Conduct location reconciliations on all location discrepancies
? Prepare correspondence relating to inventory discrepancies
? Perform inventory management/control for storage and distribution support associated with a Marine Corps wholesale distribution operation
? Perform stock issue functions
? Perform requirement processing functions
? Ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for both newly entered and previously entered data
? Input screening requests into Fedlog to obtain logistics data on existing national stock numbers.
? Conduct causative research on NSN mismatches and correct data within the Automated databases
? Conduct research of catalog databases to locate cost effective, available substitutes and new products
? Validate funding for each material request
? Receive incoming material
? Conduct causative research on NSN mismatches and correct data within the SASSY database
? Perform Data entry functions
? Verify data related to all property records
? Review property record adjustments for accuracy and completeness
? Prepare and process daily Recurring Status Report, Receipt Exception Listing, and Inbound Receipt Report
? Input receipt, issues, inventory and shipping documents into Automated Databases
? Have the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Form Flow or Oracle Linux and Microsoft Explore.
? Have the ability to use FedLog to research National Stock Number (NSN), unit cost, units of issue and material classifications.
? Have the ability to research and determine National Stock Numbers (NSN), Stock Classes, unit of issue and cost for material not found in FedLog.
? Have experience preparing detailed reports.
? Have experience in inventory management to include shelf life.
? Have experience performing inventory audits.
? Communicate both oral and written
