DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION:
Area 1 - Current permanent and indefinite bargaining unit Technicians of the Nebraska Army and Air National Guard and
Area 2 - All members of the Nebraska Army National Guard and personnel eligible to become members of the Nebraska Army National Guard.
Referral of Applicants: Qualified applicants will be referred to the selecting official in the following order:
1. Fully qualified Area 1 applicants.
2. Fully qualified Area 2 applicants.

- Direct Deposit is mandatory.

(1) Performs routine and nonroutine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.
(2) Responsible for local management or decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy. Items are less stable or standardized and do not lend themselves to routine control through the use of the computer and variable supply level formulas. Plans requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs. Authorized procurement and is responsible for funds management.
(3) Responsible for limited aspects of storage management. May develop and install local procedures and techniques to achieve and maintain smooth, effective, and coordination storage operations.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To be qualifying, experience must have been progressively responsible with increasingly difficult and complex duties. Experience must have been at the next lower or second lower grade or its non-federal equivalent.
*CREDITING EXPERIENCE: NATIONAL GUARD SERVICE MAY BE CREDITED AS FULL-TIME EXPERIENCE WHEN EVALUATED AGAINST THE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR A MILITARY TECHNICIAN POSITION. EXPERIENCE MUST BE DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE POSITION AND MUST BE DESCRIBED IN THE WORK EXPERIENCE SECTION OF THE APPLICATION AND/OR RESUME. THE LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE IS DETERMINED BY THE ACTUAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PERFORMED. BE DESCRIPTIVE, A SIMPLE LIST OF JOB TITLES AND DATES WILL NOT SUFFICE.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in a variety of operations and situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring the ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience in clerical or office work such as maintaining records, screening, reviewing, and verifying documents; searching for and compiling information and data; or work involved in the physical handling of supplies and equipment provided that gave you some general knowledge of supply transactions and regulations, procedures, identification codes, etc. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: M ust possess at least 12 months of specialized experience, education or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transaction; and/or provide supply operations, support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one or more areas of supply management. Experience in closely related activities which have provided you the knowledge of the rules, regulations, procedures, and program requirements of one or more areas of a military supply system; and provided you the experience to perform at the level of the position to be filled.
1. Knowledge of standard methods of receipt or material order documentation control and materials processing.
2. Knowledge of policies and regulations regarding storage space controls, stock location systems, layouts, and storage techniques.
3. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
4. Knowledge of regulations and mechanized/statistical techniques in the computation and forecasting of quantitative requirements.
5. Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing and accounting for government property.
6. Ability to research information.
7. Knowledge of how to fill out, post, file, control, or code supply documents or transactions.
NOTE: REGARDING QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignment must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: High school graduate or the equivalent may be substituted for three months of specialized experience. Education in schools above the high school level may be substituted for experience on the basis of one academic year of study (i.e., 36 weeks of substantially full-time study, or 30 semester hours, or the equivalent) for 12 months of specialized experience. Each 30 semester hours credited must include at least 6 semester hours of courses which are directly related to the type of work of the position. College transcripts MUST be submitted for professional positions or when substituting education for experience.
