GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Support Specialist, Tier II is responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting desktop pc ’s, laptops and peripherals while providing excellent customer service. Provides daily coaching and support to clients and coworkers to resolve hardware and software issues. Oversees computer/asset and inventory management. Occasionally handles IT equipment purchases.

Assists with administration and troubleshooting of business software including email, internal instant messaging system, phones, SharePoint, Microsoft Windows, Office, Internet Explorer, communications software and other productivity software. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain Windows updates Run periodic virus scans Ability to boot Windows into Safe Mode for deep virus scans Ability to kill rogue processes with Task Manager Support business application and other software applications for clients, staff, sales representatives, etc. Effectively interface with PC users from other departments, clients and consultants in an intelligent and engaging manner Recommending, configuring, troubleshooting, and upgrading PC workstations and components Set hardware peripherals in Windows to proper settings Install latest drivers from manufacturer websites Occasional document creation in Word, Excel (pivot table knowledge desired), PowerPoint and Google Docs Working and practical knowledge of smartphones/PDAs (iPhones/Android) Basic telephony tasks of inter-office VoIP system Assist in development and documentation of departmental procedures and processes Creating Standard Operating Procedures to document new or changing processes Assist with occasional office reorientations and moves WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2 years experience working in a professional environment supporting computers and technology Experience with Dell Kace or SCM software Experience with LogMeIn or remote pc software Extensive working knowledge with Windows 7 Professional Familiar with Linux Command Line fundamentals KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS Bachelor ’s or Associate ’s degree MCSE, CCNA, CompTia or other certifications Knowledge of networking architectures and protocols to diagnose and resolve LAN communication issues •MAC Address knowledge Knowledge of wireless technologies including commonly used securities (WEP/WPA Personal and Experience with scripting languages (Batch, PowerShell, Visual Basic, .NET, Bash, etc.) Experience imaging desktops (Dell Kace, Acronis, Norton Ghost, etc.) Experience utilizing software to distribute scripts, Group Policy settings, Registry changes, or silently installing programs Enterprise) and modes (ABGN) Knowledge of Static vs DHCP IP Addressing Knowledge of Public vs Private IP Addressing Knowledge of DNS Knowledge of the OSI Model Experience with Group Policy and/or Active Directory desired How to use Ping / Tracerts / ipconfig release, renew, all from Windows command prompt BENEFITS InDemand Interpreting°s benefits package includes: •Medical •Vision •Dental •Life Insurance •Employee Assistance Plan •Ability to accrue up to 15 days of paid time off within your first year of full-time employment •Six recognized holidays
