The Support Specialist helps ensure a positive student experience by providing support to Employment Services team members.

Principle Accountabilities & Deliverables

Supports Employment Services team members by providing administrative support functions such as tracking calls, scheduling, creating files, etc. and assisting with campus events such as graduation, job fairs, expos and industry meetings.

Helps ensure a positive student experience by assisting students with resume creation and editing.

Helps with employer relationship building by assisting with calls and visits to employers to develop contacts and obtain job leads.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Education / Experience

High School diploma or GED required.

Customer service experience preferred.

Skills

Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines and multi-tasking are essential.

Proficient in computer software applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

Abilities

Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday

Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday

Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday

Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.

Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.

Work Environment

Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment.
