Minimum Age:

AA Degree in Administration, Records Management, Human Resources OR Minimum of 5
year(s) of experience in primary administrative/professional support responsible
for records management, coordination and data entry

Ability to perform other duties/assignments that involve at least some
degree of creative, analytical, evaluative and interpretive work and may involve
independent work. Posess judgment that requires little intervention by HR
Ability to create, name, format, move, save and interpret data (forms,
workbooks and spreadsheets) using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access or other
such software. Able to read, understand and edit procedures and other technical
Power Point, Gov Trip, Lotus Notes Email, Document Scanner, Paper shredder

Serve as primary support to the EPA Human Resources Office. Provide support and
occasional administrative back up for other R8 program offices on an as needed
basis with approval from Human Resources Officer (HRO) and/or monitor, however,
primary responsibility will still be with the Human Resources Office.

Maintain information/reception desk and assist internal/external customers.
Answer telephone, acknowledge unsolicited applications/written inquiries and
respond to employment verifications. Coordinate HR schedules, transcribe minutes
of staff meetings and distribute faxes/mail. Provide Gov Trip travel support for
HR staff as needed. Provide fundamental records management creation/support.
Assist in development/maintenance of confidential Employee & Labor Relations
case files. Maintain various databases and tracking systems/logs. Assist with
special projects as needed such as creating presentations and surveys,
generating reports and data analysis. Review and make recommendations to
Standard Operating Procedures or other technical/procedural documents. 35%
Provide Telework/Flexiplace program support: screen applications, manage
records, enter changes, independently build reports and assist with customer
questions. Create folder, input new agreements into database and maintain
accuracy of data. 25%
Conduct initial screening, manage workflow and provide pre-screening of
SF-52's (Request for Personnel Actions). Enter data for transmission, create
manifest and contact program offices for necessary changes or corrections. Serve
as first point of contact for managers seeking status of actions. Run reports
and ensure accuracy of data from service center (HRACTS) database. 25%
Enter receipt of award forms into database, conduct screening for signatures
and completeness, prepare manifest, transmit data into Cincinnati Shared Service
Center, create certificates and coordinate required signatures. Schedule and
prepare materials for recruitment events. 10%
Serve as backup to EPA's internal START system. Enter classes into the
system, answer questions from employees and generate/circulate rosters/reports
to external/internal customers. Back up training assistant as needed. 5%
