Duties & Responsibilities:
-- Acts on behalf of the Manager as required.
-- Supports the Manager in the administration of the MP&C Program.
-- Supervise assigned staff.
-- Manage multiple and possibly conflicting priorities.
-- Manage multi-disciplined groups and function as a team leader.
-- Assist in budget development and function within budget.
-- Safety, leadership, training and supervision of site MP&C personnel.
-- Establish departmental objectives and standards of performance in accordance
with defined MP&C objectives and nuclear site expectations.
-- Actively seek and solicit ideas from staff for Entergy Continuous Improvement
(ECI). Use ECI techniques to analyze causes, plan and implement
improvements, and study effects of the change through development of
performance indicators specifically for this purpose.
-- Receipt Inspection activities.
-- Coordinate transfer of materials between Commercial Grade Dedication Labs
and Warehouses as needed.
-- Warehouse functions (stocking, housekeeping, in-storage maintenance, issuing
-- Ensuring that personnel implement assigned processes in accordance with
standardized MP&C procedures.
-- Document program and human performance deficiencies in the Condition
-- Provide back-shift and off-hour support as needed.
-- Provide appropriate outage support.
-- Support the Emergency Plan Team and activities.
-- Preparation of reports, charts and briefings dealing with material acquisition,
inventories, material availability, contract status, etc.
-- Represent MP&C at site meetings.
Qualifications, Experience, & Physical Requirements:
-- Bachelor degree or equivalent. Equivalent is defined as demonstrated success
at the supervisory level.
-- 3 years experience in a related field.
-- At least 2 of the 3 years experience nuclear power plant related.
-- Technical proficiency in this assigned function and specialty.
-- Established communication skills, both oral and written.
-- Knowledge of procurement processes/tools, receipt inspection activities,
warehousing (stocking, housekeeping, instorage maintenance and issuing)
and inventory management practices/tools.
-- Practical MRO materials knowledge (by discipline/craft/manufacturer).
-- Knowledge of Nuclear and associated regulatory/quality requirements.
-- Knowledge of Inventory/Materials/Contracts computer systems.
-- Experience/knowledge with budget accounting/management
-- Good oral/written communication and presentation skills and the ability to work
with a large number of people at all levels in the organization are essential.
-- Previous supervisory experience.
