Altarum Institute, a nonprofit research institute working to become the nation’s preeminent provider of objective health systems research and solutions, is looking for an ambitious and dedicated Survey Research Intern for the summer term in our Ann Arbor, MI office.

The Survey Research Intern will report to a Lead Survey Methodologist, and will work with our Program Analysis and Evaluation Practice Area supporting projects with the Department of Defense and other clients. The Intern will work with our Survey Researchers on ongoing and upcoming survey projects. Projects will include sample weighting, questionnaire design, web survey setup, quality control, data analysis, modeling and web reporting.
• Candidates must be currently pursuing a Masters or PhD in Survey Methodology or related degree.
• Candidates should have a familiarity with survey research and statistics, ability to do web-related research, good writing skills, and be competent in the use of SAS. Familiarity and experience with STATA, SPSS, and other software packages is also useful.
• Position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational ability, and familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), as well as the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
