This position will sit in our Pitney Bowes Management Services business unit. This business unit helps our customers compete more effectively by taking care of critical yet non-core services to allow them to focus on what they do best. These services include: professional consulting, mail-and-document management and managed output services to integrated content management.

We are currently seeking a Switchboard Operator . The right candidate will be an integral part of our talented team, supporting our continued growth. This position will be located in our Edina, MN location. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : · Key responsibilities include: . Responsible for greeting guests, answering phones, researching requests, assigning priority level and update status . Responsible for heavy phone coverage including answering multiple-line PBX system directing and transferring calls to appropriate parties . Answer and direct all incoming/outgoing calls, and act as a liaison between the client and customer . Concise and accurate message taking . Provide assistance with meetings which may include scheduling and maintaining Excel spreadsheet to record schedule or utilizing MicroSoft Outlook . Meet and greet visitors and assign temporary badges if required . Maintain client directory/contact information . Keep lobby and reception area clean and organized . Developing a familiarity with the individuals for whom you are answering calls for . Typing correspondence, filing, copying, ordering supplies, data entry, word processing, sending and receiving faxes, sorting mail and other administrative tasks as assigned Other duties and responsibilities include: · Maintaining highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude · Demonstrating flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment · Consistently adhering to business practice guidelines · Taking direction from receptionist and site manager · Participating in cross-training · Maintaining all logs and reporting documentation with attention to detail · Adhering to all safety procedures All interested individuals must apply online. Minimum of 1 year of customer service related experience required
Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated knowledge and experience in a related functional area (reception/front desk) required
Minimum of 6 months of multiple-line switchboard experience required with a minimum of 4 incoming lines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
MicroSoft Office experience required
Work related computer experience required
Proficient in Email environments (MicroSoft Outlook, LotusNotes, other) requried
Ability to effectively work individually or within a team in a fast paced environment
Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
Willingness to cross-training for other job functions
Ability to lift and/or move items up to 50lbs or the maximum allowed by current State Law with or without accommodation.
Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time with or without accommodations
Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
