Provide world class IT support for the 99th Medical Group and tenant organizations totaling approx 1.5K users. Troubleshoot, maintain and support all IT infrastructure and end user devices. Provide technical input on software and hardware acquisitions as it relates to Air Force standard desktop configuration. Implement PC and network hardware software upgrades. Provide top notch customer service for 99 Medical Group and Veteran Affairs (VA) of Southern Nevada staff members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To enable individuals with disabilities, we may provide reasonable accommodations to perform essential functions.

  • Assist the government in the management and operation of the 99 MDG systems and hardware, to include review process design, storage procedures, recommend process improvements, and provide support to customer systems within 72 hours, provide business case analysis to determine alternative solutions and recommend the best practice, including adequate documentation for implementation efforts, work with three (3) dozen senior hospital managers to identify and develop system requirements taking into account desired results, hardware limitations and operating requirements.
  • Provide support, assistance, and advice and operation of hardware and software, to include, managing and troubleshooting approximately 1,615 workstations, 171 laptops, 428 printers, and other peripherals throughout the hospital for approximately 1,400 users, maintain a print server that manages over 400 printers, develop and implement instructions for deployments of printers and workstations, assist in the management of high value equipment inventory, assist in the deployment of Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) computers and software throughout the hospital, train USAF personnel on various networking, workstation, and printer troubleshooting techniques, completes approximately 30 work orders per week. Acknowledge notification of database malfunctions and implement repairs functions within 2 hours during duty hours.
  • Management and operation of CHCS systems and hardware, to include, operate as part of Tier II IT support for CHCS, AHLTA, and training issues, providing immediate solutions for functional modules, hardware, software and peripheral devices. Assist the government in managing CHCS accounts, extensive CHCS training program and access library/database for over 500 local and remote users, performs daily and monthly maintenance and security reviews of all CHCS accounts to ensure compliance with AF computer security standards and HIPAA regulations, 66 train new AF and VA personnel on a weekly basis in various relevant IT topics, design CHCS classes into on-line presentations for ease of use by both trainer and students, create and manage training program for Inpatient Order Entry, site functional POC for all CHCS users, complete work orders pertaining to CHCS/AHLTA password and user account creations, acknowledge notification of database malfunction within two (2) hours during duty hours.

Education and/or Experience -

  • Must have minimum of two years of Composite Health Care System (CHCS) I experience. Strong customer service skills are highly desired. Good communication skills and MS Office Product skills required.
  • Must have a minimum two years in computer networking environment. Windows Server and Client OS as well as Microsoft Office 2003/2007/2010 experience required. Microsoft Certified Professional strongly desired. Strong customer service skills are highly desired.
  • Must have current CompTIA A+ and Security+ or higher Certification in accordance with DoD DIR 8570 and MCP Server in Windows 2003 or greater.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance:
At a minimum, all health care workers must maintain at the contractor’s expense current certification in either the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) (Course C) or the American Red Cross CPR/BLS Course.

Computer Skills -

Proficient with the Microsoft Suite.

Incumbent must be able to perform tasks which involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary position on a daily basis. Working locations are not latex free environments, and some latex exposure can be expected. Location of work is expected to be within an open office environment.
