Director Network Operations
Basic Overview of Position – Why does this job exist?
The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintenance/administration on all server systems throughout the enterprise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – What do the BEST people do in this role?
Interacts with other teams on server support related issues as level 1 or 2 tech support.
Responds trouble tickets and creates relevant documentation as needed.
Assists with documenting processes and procedures.
Utilizes existing documentation to complete recurring tasks.
Assists in maintenance of servers in each office.
Monitors servers to ensure they have the latest definitions of anti-virus and have the latest security patches; works with more experienced team members to resolve discrepancies.
Troubleshooting of internal and datacenter network/server issues.
Monitors back-ups of servers and related systems.
On-call for production systems support.
Ensures adherence to company I.T. policies and procedures
Other duties, as required.

Internal clients (all employees), vendors and external customers
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Required 2-4 years experience working in a medium or large size server environment (50+servers)
Specialized Knowledge and Skills (including certifications, licenses, equipment, applications, other technology, etc.)
Windows 2000/2003/2008 server platforms; Active Directory; Exchange (2007 & 2010); Network Services (DNS, DHCP, etc.); Scripting (VB/Batch/JS); Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services; IIS 5/6/7; MS SQL 2000-2008; Public Key Infrastructure (PKI); Server Performance Monitoring; Storage Administration (EMC); VMware vSphere (ESXi 5.0, 4.0, 4.1; ESX 3.5); VMware vCenter; Microsoft Cluster Services and Microsoft Failover Cluster Management
Ability to communicate both oral and written.
Must have a working knowledge of multiple server operating systems and client/server applications.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
General Office Environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
