LiveOps is seeking a Systems Administrator with a strong tools development and operations background. You will be part of a team of tool developers and system administrators to build tools and manage remote data center infrastructure. Does this sound like you?
Act as second level support for NOC engineers.
Develop and maintain tools which are critical to operation of LiveOps VOIP architecture. Deploy, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot servers/storage in production environments in remote data centers.
Implement and maintain monitoring tools for production hardware and application servers.
Be responsible for performance and availability of large, geographically dispersed web farms, application servers.
Manage backups for file systems including data for various application such as Git, Bugzilla, Puppet, apache servers, VOIP customer calls.
Work with developers in selecting the correct technologies and processes for future product deployment to production.
Manage production load balancers (F5) , switch configurations (Moving ports, re-affecting vlans)
Be able to manage VM infrastructure in development and production (KVM,XEN Citrix)
Research potential new technologies to be used for development, operation of various tools needed for deployment, configuration, monitoring of LiveOps products.
5+ years of advance experience in managing large scale Linux based systems.
Deep understanding of Linux (CentOS) configuration, tuning, trouble shooting.
Deep understanding of general networking principles, load balancers (F5) , firewalls, routing technologies and DNS
Strong understanding of storage technologies (SAN, DAS, iSCSI, NAS)
Ability to write and maintain advance scripts (Perl, bash)
Ability to be agile and work in a distributed team.
Ruby and Puppet is a plus.
