The Role: Systems Administrator
Support for hundred of nodes in HQ and Data Center
Help manage the engineering lab and production infrastructure.
Maintain good documentation on assets, usage and projects.
Provision new servers, manage and troubleshoot servers and network
Manage and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers, VMware infrastructure and test environment.
Maintain good documentation and network diagrams.
Linux / VMware System Administrator with 5-7 Years of experience in medium to large engineering environments.
The candidate must have advanced knowledge of troubleshooting complex network problems in technologies including routing, switching, load-balancing, and QoS.
Expert problem solving skills a must; Interest in diagnosing and troubleshooting networking, storage, operating system, software and application issues.
Strong experience with TCP/IP, L2/L3/L4 Cisco, Arista Switches configuration and troubleshooting.
Candidate must have thorough understanding of TCP/IP suite protocols and DNS.
Hands on exposure and experience in installation, configuration and support of Linux and VMware servers.
Knowledge of standard services like VPN, PXE, TFTP, DHCP, SSH, FTP, NFS, NIS, LDAP, STP, Samba, sudo and file systems.
Performance monitoring, system fine tuning, trouble shooting on production systems.
Excellent Troubleshooting skills. Experience with wireshark, tcpdump, ping, netstats,cacti, MRTG or equivalent.
Strong experience in configuration management tools (Puppet)
Solid experience of Shell scripting, Python.
Must able to lift 50 LB of weight
VMware vSphere5, View, KVM, Hadoop, Hyper-V, Puppet
VMware VCP5 certification
RHCE certification a plus (not required)
4 year graduate degree or equivalent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
