Position Summary

Position will include but is not limited to installation, configuration, and administration of desktop operating systems and application distribution systems. Installation, configuration, and administration of Help Desk and asset management systems.


Provide technical assistance with planning, design and developing Enterprise desktop operating system and application distribution system.

Recommend and implement system policies and standards

Implement system products with high quality and timeliness

Monitor system performance, recommend or proactively act to ensure performance meets requirements.

Provide technical skill in troubleshooting desktop related infrastructure related problems and either take corrective action or interface with the appropriate vendor or Infrastructure/Network team to resolve issues

Available for after-hours and weekend on-call

Provide lifecycle management assistance for software and hardware

Plan and execute work in accordance with company Change Management process

Knowledge transfer to teammates

Occasional travel to other company locations as required


Microsoft Server experience

Must have experience with planning and implementation of Enterprise desktop operating system and application distribution systems (SCCM, Altiris, etc)

Must have experience in packaging and deploying applications and patches throughout the Enterprise (Microsoft and non-Microsoft applications and patches).

Must have scripting skills in order to automate certain processes

Basic skills using Active Directory in a distributed environment

Expert level skills with Microsoft Windows 7

Ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve them quickly and e ffectively .

Basic knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
