The Dev Ops engineer is embedded within our Site Operations group and plays a key role in the design and implementation of our infrastructure. This role will be responsible for the security, stability, and scalability of our Linux systems. You will work and have fun with bright engineers who share a common goal of creating the best real estate tools on the market.
We are looking for someone who scoffs at manual repetition. After running the same command twice, automation is the first thing that enters your mind. You are not afraid to innovate, in fact, you never settle for "good enough". You should have experience working with high traffic websites and large scale Linux deployments.
The Site Operations team works closely with other various teams within engineering to ensure weekly releases run smoothly, the site is stable and performance is always improving, and the infrastructure can easily scale to meet our ever-growing traffic needs.

Required Skills:
Ability to write tools (language is unimportant) focused on rapid deployment, automation, virtualization, monitoring and troubleshooting.

Solid understanding of Linux Administration

Building and maintaining packages (Ubuntu / Debian preferred)

Experience with one or more of Puppet, Chef, Git, Jenkins, Hudson, Agile Methodology, Nagios

Excellent interpersonal and writing skills

Virtualization (Xen preferred) concepts and deployments

Nice to have:
Working knowledge of Continuous Delivery concepts: Continuous Integration and Deployment, Automated Testing

Experience managing Atlassian products such as JIRA, Stash, and Confluence

Working knowledge of enterprise load balancers such as F5 or Netscaler
