Candidate Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide expertise in the following areas: fundamentals of systems engineering, software service utilization and integration, systems integration, DoD acquisition management, CONOPS development and evaluation, and developmental and operational test and evaluation policy and procedures. Candidate will support the government program office in leading a multi-disciplinary team of government, industry, and contractor personnel to achieve program goals.
Candidate must have at least eight years of experience in engineering and/or operational disciplines associated with weapon system integration, test and evaluation, or C4ISR. The individual should have experience with government and contractor roles supporting the acquisition process. The candidate must have a strong ability to work in a team environment using leadership and customer interface skills to meet organizational goals and customer expectations. Operational experience with unmanned aerial systems is a plus. Outstanding written and oral communication skills are essential. The candidate should have an understanding of basic contracting, earned value management, risk management, software systems engineering and integration, and the Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management (ACQ 101). The successful candidate should have good analytic skills and be capable of operating in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Basic knowledge of unmanned aerial vehicle operations or testing is highly desired. Previous DoD acquisition experience is a plus. Operational unmanned aerial system experience may substitute for test experience. Familiarity with operational and system views of network architectures is desired. Previous experience with weapon systems development activities including knowledge and experience from having participated in Systems Requirements Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and Flight Test Readiness Reviews is helpful.
B.S. in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Aviation required. An advanced degree in a management, engineering or related discipline applicable to DoD acquisition is highly desired.
