Performs a wide range of technical duties associated with the design, implementation and support of TSP and TSG. This includes, but is not limited to implementing, maintaining and supporting end-users, LAN for high availability, network security and various computing services such as systems & network monitoring, backups, network printing, remote access and distributed application environments.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:
Responsible for responding to and resolving clients’ technical; issues in a timely, efficient, and professional manner
Troubleshoots network performance issues
Become familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
Responsible for documenting all issues, troubleshooting steps and resolution
Responsible for keeping the internal networking functioning at optimal levels which includes internal servers at out co-locations
Other duties include server maintenance and backup, email administration, assigning and maintaining user logon and access privileges, setup of VoIP phones and troubleshooting, the actual hard-wiring of jacks, protecting internal users from outside threats, including hackers, viruses, spyware and malware
Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software
Manage helpdesk and investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions
Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards
Strong knowledge and experience with PC hardware and software technology
Working knowledge of UNIX and MS Windows 2003 or higher
Experience in administering, installing and managing servers and clients
Practical knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Continuity planning and testing is needed
Strong verbal and written communication skills and good organizational skills
Performance monitoring, system tuning, and capacity planning experience is needed
Must be flexible with schedule and able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
Assist IT Infrastructure Manager in developing and coordinating future network replacement plans
Maintains network maps of all sites
Provides emergency on-call support as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Occasional travel required

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Virtual Server administration experience
Cisco switches and router configuration experience
Experience working with Snapshot and Storage technologies
Microsoft Exchange Server experience
Experience with large tape libraries and various tape media formats

Education and Work Experience:
AA Degree or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems or equivalent Trade School
1-4 years Network administration experience
Equivalent experience and technical trainings may be substituted for the education requirements
Technical certifications such as MCSE, A+ and Network+ are a plus
