Successful candidate will support tasking at the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program office, Crystal City, VA as a member of the Program Protection Engineering team. Candidate will assist the Program Executive Officer (PEO) integrate program protection and systems security engineering (SSE) strategies and methodologies into the lifecycle of the JSF program. Applicant will identify critical JSF technologies, assess AS security design risks, recommend countermeasures, conduct studies and analysis and provide program protection engineering services.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field from an institution accredited through a U.S. Department of Education approved agency is required. Four (4) years of experience in addition to the requirements listed below may be considered in lieu of degree.
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience assessing security architectures is required, three (3) years of which should be in support of a major defense weapon system acquisition program. Selected candidate must be familiar with embedded avionics security and have a working knowledge of Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS). CISSP or related DoD 8570.01M Level III certification is also required. A valid Passport must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are highly desired.
Occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
An active TOP SECRET security clearance is required. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
