Position: Systems Administrator

Location: San Francisco, CA (California St)

Start: ASAP

General Responsibilities:
Administer LAN/WAN operations for client's regional office. Implementation, management and support of handheld ticket writers and workstations for SF and Oakland Parking Division. Administer Windows servers, POS stations, payment by web and IVR systems, license plate recognition cameras, and red light photo enforcement systems. Executed numerous computer upgrades and rollouts. Monitor and maintain network security/stability of HP/Compaq servers operating in a Windows Server 2003/2008, 7, XP and NT environment. Troubleshoot and resolve all hardware/software issues for more than 200 workstations and 370 handheld mobile devices. Responsible for file server backup schemes. Write detailed documentation of network system operations and applications. Training and mentoring IT staff.

Responsibilities:
: Support client web-based ticket management and imaging systems

: Management and support for Windows 2003/2008 Servers

: Hardware/Software support for Windows-based desktops, laptops, mobile computers, printers, and peripherals

: Management of LAN as well as Client network connectivity to Data Center

: Management of corporate backup strategies

: Active Directory management, deployment, planning, and integration

: Documentation of server, network, and IT department's policy and procedures and processes

: Management and monitoring of anti-virus, patch management, and backup solutions and strategies

: Network infrastructure support, including LAN, WAN, security, and VPN

: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of hardware and software

: Participate in capacity planning, computer refresh, for the corporate IT infrastructure

: Manage Avaya PBX phone system

: Maintain operations of document scanners

Required Skills

: Server Administration and Repair, Network Administration (incl. design and build-out), TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS/DNS, FTP, System Security, Backup/Restore, End-user Training and Technical Support

: Workstation Installation, Configuration & Upgrading, Project Management, Workstation and Server Patches & Updates, Training & Mentoring, Hardware and Software Purchasing and Inventory

Hardware and Software Experience

: HP/Compaq Proliant stand alone and rack mounted servers, HP Storage Library, RAID-5, Optical Drives

: Network Attached Storage, 10/100/1000 Network Switches, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Windows Server NT4, 2003, 2008 Enterprise, Windows NT4, 98, XP, 2007, Apple OSX 10.6, Windows Mobile 6, iOS, Android

: LogMeIn, RDP, pcAnywhere, Microsoft IIS, WSUS, MMC, ARCerve and BackupExec, Rumba 95/NT/2000 via TN3270, Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, MS VirtualPC and Parallels, Acronis and Ghost imaging, Avaya Merlin Phone System.
