Systems Administrator - HS
This individual will work under the supervision of the CLIENT SharePoint Services - Enterprise team as well with other IT organizations to implement SharePoint site collections, features and functionality, and to support end-users of the SharePoint application.
This is a highly responsible role for a SharePoint support specialist who can share responsibilities for maintaining, supporting, and implementing Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS) 2007, SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013 and Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0.
A working support analyst's knowledge of Microsoft's current Office SharePoint Server 2007 platform, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and supporting technologies including:
Windows Operating Systems
SQL Server 2005/2008/2012
Internet Information Server
Microsoft Office desktop application integration with SharePoint
Windows Workflow Foundation
Server farm design concepts
Windows networking principles
Reporting & Analysis Services
InfoPath & Performance Point Server
Ability to partner and form cohesive working relationships with CLIENT- and IBM- managed service providers
Excellent documentation skills
This individual will be responsible for contributing to a variety tasks including:
Day-to-day end-user application support
Assigned application and SharePoint server support tasks (MS and 3rd party application software installation; managing server- to- server content moves; server administration; backup/restore; site collection deployments, etc.)
Authoring, contributing to, and publishing support-related documentation to internal SharePoint knowledge base
Other ad-hoc tasks
5+ Years in IT support, Help Desk/Call Center, IT software and hardware administration.
Excellent functional and technical knowledge of SharePoint
Excellent knowledge of SQL database administration
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office 2007 and 2010
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ideally some PMO and Project Management (Prince2 or PIMBOK) knowledge
Familiarity with all types of online security schemes (AD, LDAP, etc), single sign on, SAML, SSL, Claims Authentication, Kerberos and similar techniques.
Exposure or understanding of Lotus products including Lotus Notes, QuickPlace/QuickR, and Sametime is also encouraged. Familiarity or experience with 3rd Party solutions that integrate with SharePoint is a distinct advantage: Metalogix, Casahl, Powershell, AvePoint, Bamboo Solutions, Dundas, KwizCom, Quest Software, ShareVis, SharePoint/Lotus Notes integration, Enterprise Search is a plus.
Microsoft Technology or Administrator Certification is strongly encouraged.
A 4 year degree is required. Contractor will work onsite. Minimal occasional travel to California may be required, however this will not be frequent.
