The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing implementation and ongoing support of infrastructure to most effectively realize business strategies. The Systems Administrator is a key part of the IT operations team and is responsible for IT operations support of Lube-Tech desktops, servers and networks, technology investment planning and IT infrastructure leadership. The Systems Administrator is expected to contribute to the IT architecture foundation by maintaining principles, best practices, guidelines, and standards as needed. The position will be responsible for performance against specific infrastructure performance indicators. This is a highly support intensive position where the person will need to identify and partner with internal customers across the organization to deliver service solutions that address their requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in the distribution and process manufacturing industry, have expert knowledge of multiple technology platforms in the information and applications space, have strong experience in the server and networking technologies, and have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across an organization. This ideal candidate will also have experience working with both internal and outsourced IT operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech “Team Ground Rules” and Mission Statement

Introduce and transition new technology into the organization

Manage exceptions to standards to help reach corporate objectives

Provide a contact point for technology-related issues and include other team members and IT subject matter experts as appropriate

Provide technical support to users of servers and networks

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years direct experience working as Systems Administrator

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

In-depth knowledge of server, desktop, networking, middleware, and security architectures:

  • Experience with VMware cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with Exchange 2010
  • Experience with SSLVPN appliances
  • Experience with enterprise wireless deployment and administration
  • Experience with VLANs and routing
  • Experience with Active Directory design and configuration in a multisite environment
  • Experience with writing and modifying Batch / VBscript / Powershell
  • Experience with application and desktop deployment using MDT
  • Experience with enterprise managed antivirus and patch management
  • Strong organizational skills in IT standards, systems, and procedures
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to communicate system configuration requirements to cloud service vendor
Experience with mission critical support responsibilities

Strong analytical skills (macro and micro) and process orientation

Strong self-management skills in multiple-priority, high ambiguity situations

Ability to proactively communicate at multiple levels: executive to individual contributor

Comfortable with resolving conflicting viewpoints and achieving consensus
