We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator who will provide systems and employee support.

DUTIES

  • Install the latest patches and support packs on all systems to ensure all systems are up to date
  • Maintain and complete documentation required for audit compliance related to systems supported
  • Work with other employees to set up all computers with appropriate software
  • Provide 2nd/3rd level support for end user issues related to systems managed
  • Provide backup to help desk as needed
  • Maintain back-ups for all systems
  • Maintain all network applications/service such as Symantec Antivirus, Backup Exec, SQL, DNS, DHCP, File Shares, Printers, vCenter, Lync, SharePoint, etc
  • Provide maintenance, support, and documentation of company-issued cellular phones
  • Build servers and install various network operating systems including Windows 2008 and any newly released OS
  • Document all network/system changes and maintain all network/system records
  • Manage all user logins and permissions across AD and other systems
  • Maintain IT Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Test, evaluate, and make recommendations for new software applications
  • Maintain WAN connectivity between headquarters, remote offices, and Virginia Beach
  • Assist with purchasing all computers, printers, peripherals, and associated software
  • Assist the Director of IT with tasks as needed
  • Maintain security and reliability of network, servers, and data
  • Other duties as assigned. Management reserves the right to add or delete duties as deemed appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years experience providing internal user support for hardware and software
  • Minimum of 2 years supporting servers and other network devices
  • MCSE certified or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Windows 7/8, Server 2003/2008/2012, SharePoint, Backup Exec, Sql, Lync, SCCM
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work under stress/pressure to meet deadlines and financial objectives.
  • Ability to travel to remote sites, offsite meetings, company related functions, etc. with short notice.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance coverage.
  • Ability to communicate with users with all levels of computer experience.
  • Ability to communicate with users at all levels within the company.
  • Able to work unsupervised and be a team player and reliable to start and finish a project in a complete and timely manner.
  • Ability to quickly learn new products and software solutions with minimum supervision.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills with customers, vendors, and personnel within the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to use good judgment in performing conflicting demands and managing priorities.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours as required.
  • Must have strong ethics and work as an effective, collaborative team member.
