Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math or Business Administration or related or equivalent experience
Minimum 3-5 years related experience
IT experience necessary and financial services experience preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Knowledge of Microsoft Server and client frameworks are preferred.
Experience working in an enterprise environment.
Some specialized roles include knowledge of First Niagara’s Teller Front end, Core Banking Application(s), Web Banking front end(s), Voice Response System, Loan Origination or Servicing Systems.
Experience troubleshooting software application issues.
Experience with web applications and related interface troubleshooting.
The IT Solutions System Analyst provides support, and enhancement of products and software applications within the IT Solutions Group. This includes the analyzing and migrating data to function within First Niagara core or third party systems. Primary functions include (but are not limited to) supporting software applications and their related activates and other general duties such as data protection, product setup and testing, software release installation and testing, and the continuing support of the related business units. The Systems Analyst will support all assigned software programs, test and document development activity working in conjunction with the First Niagara Data Center and business units while monitoring the progress of specific tasks. The incumbent will participate in data migration as needed, problem research, and documentation for both retail and commercial activities.
Provide software support for both retail and commercial applications installed at First Niagara.
Conduct problem resolution for supported applications and provide periodic status of progress towards resolution.
Participate on any related application teams as required and provide insight into their enhancement capabilities.
Work with staff members to develop program enhancements and document standards, for quality assurance.
Ensure that the proper deadlines and turnaround times are met in each area of responsibility.
Oversee the periodic testing and implementation of program fixes, release installations, custom patches or other system changes.
Fully participate in assigned teams and related technology projects.
Responsible for openly communicating systematic issues.
Ensure new software systems meet organization requirements prior to implementation.
Attempt to anticipate interruptions of computer service prior to any problem occurring.
Responsible for the clear and concise documentation of all IT Solutions applications or operations.
Provide consistent service to both internal and external customers.
Investigate and resolve on a daily basis any core system or third party system problems that develop.
Trouble shoot any issues that would normally be routed to the core vendor for resolution and provide resolution promptly.
Utilize technology to automate operations and improve efficiencies when possible.

Knowledge of FNFG core system programs.
Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve problems.
