Job Summary: The Systems Analyst III reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems; including coding, testing, debugging, installing and support of applications. The Analyst consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. The Analyst is expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. The Analyst writes manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures. The Analyst relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position is expected to meet high standards for customer service and professionalism.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and expertise to the user community in the use of the Accounting and Operations applications
  • Work directly with business users and internal developers
  • Provide training for end users of the system
  • Responsible for gathering and writing business requirements
  • Use creative problem solving techniques to develop system specifications and requirements for programming modifications
  • Assist in business solution design development
  • Coordinate with developers and software vendor to develop system solutions
  • Ensure effective testing, implementation and instruction of users involving system enhancements
  • Provide post implementation systems support
  • Responsible for querying AS400 and SQL databases
Duties:
  • Analyze, review and recommend program revisions
  • Develop test cases and business process flows; coordinate testing
  • Conduct data analysis for various project initiatives
  • Create ad-hoc reports as needed
  • Create training materials for end users
  • Perform other job related duties as required or assigned
  • Follow SOX guidelines for all Systems support

Requirements:
Qualifications:
· Ability to describe technical issues in non technical terms
· Customer service orientation
· Effective planning and follow-up skills
· Working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts
· 6 to 10 years experience
· 3 years Oil &Gas experience
· Financial background and experience preferred

Education: BS – Computer Information Technology OR BBA – Business Information Systems
