The System Analyst III is responsible for the ongoing development and support of Hospital Information Systems. This position works to install new systems, resolve user and system problems as assigned, review and maintain documentation, project leadership, and use architecture tools to build system enhancements for the Hospital Information Systems. At times, he or she will be required to provide backup support for the Help Desk.
Frequent interaction with employees/physicians involving support or install of computer systems
Work with Hospital Information System and other Information Systems related vendors and users in selecting Systems/Pathways, develop project plans, implement and maintain new applications in the health care environment.
Work with users to define and verify data paths/interfaces between major systems.
Detailed instructions as to how to proceed whenever a situation arises that requires contact with system related Information Systems vendors when indicated.
Plan and direct go-live phases.
Coordinate educational components of Information Systems related computer systems.
Maintaining and improving computer system knowledge.
If necessary/possible, repairs or replaces failing terminals and printers.
Performs other duties of a miscellaneous nature to operation of Information System as manager assigns.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Minimum 5 years experience in Information Systems.
Healthcare Experience preferred. Interfacing experience is highly desired.
