Requirements:
Required Education and Experience:
1. BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other Health Care related field required.
2. Relevant experience ( >5 years) within a healthcare environment highly desired.
3. Relevant Information Systems analyst experience ( >5 years) highly desired.
4. One to two years of CHOP Information Systems analyst experience preferred.
5. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Required Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:
1. For Epic applications teams, at least one relevant Epic certification is required as outlined in the Epic certification policy.
2. Additional Epic certifications may be required (Chronicles, Decision Support, SQL, etc.) in order to support higher complexity projects or issues.
3. For non Epic applications, a relevant certification is desired, if available.

Additional Technical Requirements:
1. Proficient skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
2. Knowledge of project development life cycle methodologies desired.
3. A demonstrated knowledge of cross application/system workflow and data relationships is required.

Mandatory Requirements:
All CHOP employees who work in a patient building or who provide patient care are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.

Job Description:
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a Systems Analyst Supervisor to join the IS Cardiac Support Department.

Job Summary:
1. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of and expertise in CHOP's computer systems, applications and interfaces and delivering highly complex solutions sets or comparable experience.
2. Exhibits expert skills in collaborative facilitation and leadership of teams and customers with complex business and technical issues and problems.
3. Demonstrates expertise in evaluating the need for updates, modifications, or replacement of CHOP's computer and/or application systems.
4. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the CHOP business functions.
5. Demonstrates advanced proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including recommendations for system changes and improvements.
6. Communicates effectively with clients, colleagues, developers, and organizational administration.
7. Provides estimates for complex work efforts.
8. Demonstrates excellent analysis skills.
9. Develops and manages operational and project cost estimates.
10. Manages vendor relationships.
11. Directly supervises team members, delegates, monitors and manages multiple projects and teams, manages client expectations, coaches staff and enforces compliance with department standards and hospital policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
A Systems Analyst Supervisor functions as both subject matter expert and team manager. The responsibilities echo those of a Principal Systems Analyst, but include direct supervision of team members and projects. A Supervisory Systems Analyst also:
1. Analyzes and creates solutions to extremely complex problems and relationships between integrated information systems.
2. Participates in contract negotiations with vendors.
3. Reviews specifications and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
4. Prepares project scope documents, project plans, issues logs and RFPs for implementing new systems.
5. Identifies and assigns appropriate budgetary and staff resources required to realize project goals.
6. Identifies, monitors and manages project risks from organizational and technical stances.
7. Reports to the IS manager on project and staff performance issues and progress.
8. Supervises multiple work teams and manages the scope, delivery and quality of all team projects and tasks.

A Systems Analyst Supervisor:
1. May be required to travel to/from and work in the various CHOP locations, including patient care areas.
2. May be required to travel for mandatory certifications.
3. May be considered a “Health Care Worker” which would require mandatory vaccinations/screenings.
4. May be required to represent I.S. and/or present to various Hospital Clinical and/or Operations committees.

Information Security Requirements:
1. Understand and comply with all enterprise and IS departmental information security policies, procedures and standards.
2. Support the integration of information security in the development, design, and implementation of Hospital Technology Resources that process, transmit, or store CHOP information.
3. Support all compliance activities related to state, federal regulatory requirements, healthcare accreditation standards, and all other applicable regulations that govern the use and disclosure of patient, financial, or other confidential information.
6. Identifies, monitors and manages project risks from organizational and technical stances.
7. Reports to the IS manager on project and staff performance issues and progress.
8. Supervises multiple work teams and manages the scope, delivery and quality of all team projects and tasks.
