Develops detailed program specifications and performs analysis and design activities on small, medium and large sized units of work, adhering to system life cycle methodologies and coding standards.
Leads, defines objectives, identifies milestones and timelines and monitors performance relative to the established project plans for small, medium and large sized projects, using accepted project management methodologies.
Works with customers to determine business needs, identify system requirements and foster strong customer relations within areas of responsibility. Provides regular status updates to users and I/S Management regarding projects. Oversees resolution of problems. Develops training plans to ensure effective use of designed systems by customers.
Mentors less experienced I/S delivery team members, providing training and guidance as needed. Supervises the work of team members assigned to assist with project segments of limited complexity, ensuring compliance to system life cycle methodologies and coding standards and resolving any problems which occur.
Researches new development tools and technologies, recommending those which will benefit the organization.
Develops high level testing plans for integration and system testing in order to identify potential defects and minimize problems within the application after it is implemented. Supervises testing activities.
Designs integration solutions for existing software applications. Evaluates and recommends package software solutions consistent with systems architecture.
Provides the information, documentation and guidance necessary to seamlessly transition-designed systems to the operations and support areas.
Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Rich Products Corporation's business objectives.
What do I need to be considered a candidate?
Bachelors degree in MIS, CS or related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience application development and/or system integration.
In-depth knowledge of Client/Server and Open Systems Environment (UNIX, Windows).
Solid understanding of MS Sharepoint features
Proficient in SLC (systems life cycle) development and project management methodologies.
ERP experience a plus (SAP preferred).
Must be available to be on-call 7 by 24, and work off hours.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio.
Travels regularly (up to 25% of time) - Domestic/International.
